Democratic Values and Priorities

Since the 1965 passage of the Voting Rights Act, Southern Conservatives have left the Democratic Party, such that the party now is dominated by liberals.  As Liberals, we believe:

·       All Americans should have the same freedoms and opportunities.

·       We are each responsible for protecting the freedoms and opportunities of all Americans.

·       We and our government should be competent and compassionate,

using our freedoms and opportunities wisely and

helping those with fewer   freedoms and opportunities than the rest of us.

·       Our United States should be a cooperative member of our world’s community of nations

The first value describes our equal rights to freedom and opportunity.  The second and third values describe our responsibilities to protect these rights and be competent and compassionate.  These mainstream American values have persisted since before our revolution.  We have and continue to successfully struggle to realize them more fully.

Applying these values to today’s circumstances, we identify the following political priorities:

·       Fair Elections and Open Government

·       Fair Taxes and Competent Spending

·       Investment for Productivity

·       Quality Health, Education, Jobs, Income and Retirement

·       Environmental Protection and Energy Independence

·       Personal Security and Equal Rights

·       Justice and Peace Everywhere

·       International Cooperation and Leadership

Conservatives oppose all of these.

     Let’s End Our National Nightmare.

          Let’s Restore Our American Dream.
